Saturday night - Chamorro Wedding Reception

Well, tonight we went with a herd of German war brides to one of their friend's daughter's wedding reception. It was very similar to ours. Everything here is SO patriotic and American. This was sort of like a wedding reception and a pig roast/luau all rolled up into one. The kids are just BEAUTIFUL children. Everyone was SO friendly, and everyone was welcome to drop by to eat. At one point, we went up the hill from the wedding to take some nice photos. There was a DJ (family member) a band (cousins) and the wedding was held under those "portable car ports" in the family's yard! Tons of young people and kids. And the food was wonderful. A lot of traditional island food, and yet everything was also a bit "American".
