Miscellanous neat photos!

Hi!

OK - here are a few photos we thought you all might like. . . . Werner helped Herta fix her plastic accordion closet door with duct tape! Since everything on this island costs a few dollars more than stateside, Herta was thrilled to get more "life" out of that closet door! The sweat was just dripping off of Werner! No wonder so many here appear more thinner than stateside - the heat sweats it out of you and suppresses your appetite!

This is a "different" sort of house that Herta took us to see. The owner has been working on it for years! It has a very strong Asian influence, but he has a auto collection parked underneath it, and an picture of Elvis hanging in her garage! It reminds you of King Ludwig's castles - never finished (this one still has a new section being built) and always GRAND!

Pilar had us over for a barbeque two nights ago, and she took this picture of Werner and I sitting in front of her beautiful fountain she had contructed in her back yard by some Phillipino guy. Unfortunately, you can't see the fountain! :-)

There is a picture of me harvesting tangerines into my shirt, like an apron! They are very sweet, and unlike the store-bought varieties, the peel and sections literally fall apart!

Here is a sunrise picture that Werner took this AM, 4/5, Thursday, and here is one I took yesterday of the beach with a palm tree in the wind.

Also, last night we went to the "Chamorro Village". Every Wednesday evening they have a local artisan marketplace, and we saw some native dancers again, and some very nice crafts, woodcarvings and goods for sale. The nice thing is that these merchants are all Chamorro (native Americans) of Guam, and not "merchants" from other countries of origin!

Werner got invited onstage to dance in a "hula competition". I videoed that, so I don't have any still photos of it, but he was a good sport and tried his best! ;-)
